West Texas | It works out to about 125 units of N, 46 units of p, and 12.5 units of sulfur. I put about 1/3 of my N out preplant and injector the rest through the pivot. Originally it wasn't my intentions but I didn't want to mine my ground growing wheat. I felt I would pay for it with the cotton down the road. Yes I plant immediately following cotton harvest. This year I had to replant so i didn't get it in till November 10th. We thought about cutting and baling but I was afraid I would have enough cover after the summer fallow. We leave the stubble about 12 inches tall. Put our fertilizer out and plant. Planting in that much stubble has learning curve but after you figure it out, it isn't too bad. | |
