N test isn't done 'here' it has no value donno if you do it there, for the rest I'd just base off of last test & removal rates, think chopping the dirt or sampling in spring will give you confusing result, better off estimating from previous test. Not unusual to go 4 years beteween tests anyhow so should work out fine.
