First thought was that there may be a chance that the clover supplied N might not mineralize in time for the radish to use it. Thats only a guess, though. I never have gotten as big of an N credit from clover - at least measured the following spring- as some feel they get. Not trying to pee on your campfire at all, just thinking out loud.
