Better soil contact and anchoring to reduce blowing.
Used a Brillion prototype X Fold 2 yrs ago. Untouched after the combine left longer stalk residue 12 months later but the Pluribus sailed right on through. Except the "wash up" ring around the low areas.
Compared to where I chopped and rolled or rolled only, about 30% more residue from rolling alone.
Without a chopping head, best results was "double rolling".... coming back on half like the old single gangs disks to do a good job. | |
