North Central Illinois | I agree Eddie. I think what happened was the deceased folks placed their assets in a family trust. Very often a banker is named as the trust officer. I don't know why this is but it is fairly common. I think it is done in hopes of simplifying things for the heirs. It also can reduce squabbling amongst the heirs. The trouble is depending on how the trust is set up families can lose controll over what is rightfully their's pretty easily. You have to be careful. | |
