SC
I have witnessed the actions of a bank trust officer and their policy is to maximize income to the bank. The case I saw was cutting timber just to charge a management fee on the sale. It doesn't matter if there is a sweetheart deal with the auctioneer, you can't prove anything. You are basically out of luck based on what you said unless the family takes control which is probably not possible or they would already have control. Your only realistic hope is to make an offer at the appraised market value and avoid an auction where it may go above prior sale prices. Your 50 years renting means little, your relationship with the parents means little, and most land owners think their land is the best in the county. I would say you have lost any chance for a sale that gives you any advantage over the public, based on the bankers actions.
