The "green bridge" issue is not a concern in this case as it was clean and now all the wheat came up together. I think you would have way too many wheat plants and need to start over. I have left volunteer stands and raised a decent crop but it was even and not extremely thick. It is uninsurable by the way. Since you have drilled yours it is insurable. I don't know if that wheat would thin itself out some or not. If you have time I would think you may be better served to start over.
