Sorry, very poor wording on my part. Yes, lots of volunteer in the planted wheat. By working the field then replanting, you will kill all the volunteer that has sprouted and up. Looks are no concern, but have been told that volunteer wheat does not yield nearly as well. So, the volunteer will be there pulling moisture from the planted wheat, hurting the potential yield of the planted wheat.
