Yeah been one of those years...at least we have some 75bu beans to show for it. The farm is almost listed completely as HEL. However, I don't see that is any worse than a lot of what we farm and some of it is not classifeid HEL.

We are pondering a transition to the Nu-Till system. So we are in uncharted waters for that? This would be the first year we;ve even considered it.

My Nu-Till rep (I consider a fairly trustworthy guy) says burndown fall, burndown spring and plant corn into it.
His brother (Bayer rep) says the same thing.

Our normal procedure (hay/alfalfa ground) would be burndown fall, burndown spring and no till beans into it. However with the current pricing (5.42 Fall 12 Corn Delivered). Looking at corn for mostly that reason on top of higher level rent. Hard to pass up what could turn into a semi-permanent situation.
