| The calf has been eating very well since the 16th. (The day I posted and you all said to go home, warm the calf and feed it.) It's standing waiting for me bawling for the bottle when I go out in the morning. Great way to start the day if you ask me.
However, this morning she just would not eat. She was up and waiting for me. Would put her mouth on the nipple, but then bite it off or nudge it hard but wouldn't suck. I finally dripped half a bottle into her. I went back out two hours later and still wouldn't eat. Again she came up to me, nudged the bottle, put the nipple in her mouth but wouldn't suck.
The only thing I did different was yesterday I put out some crimped oats for her. (that bag was expensive!! $17!!) I noticed she was trying to eat some hay more frequently and had read on here that if you introduce feed early on it's good for them.
Should I be worried? | |
