Subject: RE: Question on rye or tricale for silage

Columbia Basin, Ephrata, WA
Lots of guys put corn for silage behind trit, but in cool years it can be a nail biter as whether the corn gets mature. We have been chopping triticale around Memorial Day and then planting edible beans for the cash crop. So far so good, that field should be our highest gross $ this year. I'd think soybeans might grow about the same, but I'm not from Indiana.
