Subject: Pelletized Human Waste

Scott City KS
My manure spreader contacted Dad asking for advice. He got contacted by a company out of New York that had an opportunity to sell pelletized human waste. He could get unit trains of it.

I told Dad it was too expensive. It's about $20/ton, about half of commercial fertilizer, but cow manure is $3.15/ton. And of course, like cow manure, transportation would eat you up. The other thing to consider is that manure is getting difficult to come by.

What do you think. Are there any safety issues to worry about? What do you think?
