Be interesting to see what your sunflowers yield. If I remember correctly I think you said you planted about 28,000 seeds/acre. If I may make a suggestion. Looking at your head size in the picture you took, I would back the population back down some and try to increase head size. No need to spend a bunch of resources growing extra stalks to get the same results. My suggestion would be 22,500- 23,000 PPA. You'll still get excellent ground coverage and shading at those pops.

Are you using the Percision Planting Meters on your sunflowers?, if your not I would highly recommend it. We improved seed placement 8.5% switching to the PP plates.
