| we have had fairly good success no-till drilling wheat into soybean stubble but have not tried no-till corn yet.
the no-till soybeans are drilled on 7.5" rows into a thick stand of cereal rye (sometimes before and sometimes after rolling)... target seeding population is ~ 220,000/ac... target planting date is first week of June when the rye has started shedding pollen... we are going to try a whole field of no-till beans for the first time next year... this is our 3rd year of putting out no-till bean plots of varying sizes (10'to 30' wide and 200' to 1/4 mile long).
suppression of broadleaf weeds has been good every year... suppression of foxtail has been variable but better than in tilled plots.
