I had the same thinking that you did whatsright. I went to college and got my associates in ag business. Now I am working at a cooperative as a custom applicator because there just wasnt room on our family farm to support another person. Making the money now is nice but I would be in my last year of school if I had transfered to a 4 year and i would have a broader range of jobs to fall back on or be able to move into from my current job. Get your 2 year degree and if you really feel that you can make it in the "big leagues" then go for it. Otherwise finish out your 4 year and have a wealth of extra knowledge when you do get to start farming full time.
