The same electronic equipment used to VRA lime, etc can be used on a litter spreader. You should know why the high/low producing areas are high/low before doing that. Soil tests compared with yield maps is where I would start. There is no economic reason to over fertilize ground that is not capable of higher production. Poor ground might be improved by other actions.
