Eastern Iowa | I've left stalks long or I've run a McFarlane Reel Disk ahead of the strip till bar. Overall I like the smaller residue pieces- the residue managers easily clear the strip and by spring you have more stalks degraded. There's no right answer though. I'm running a fairly narrow point- I'd have to measure. Don't be afraid of a few clods in the fall they will smooth off by spring. What kind of fertilizer are you applying? Keep your speed up, seems to build a nicer berm. I'm running similar depth. | |
