Interesting. Actually I try to get one spring pass & plant, once with the field cultivator should be good enough. As well, I try not to chop cornststalks before plowing in fall, if I can get away with it, as few passes as needed for me. Occationally try no fall tillage on bean stubble, only field cultivate in spring, but depends on weather & compaction issues and such in fall.....
