West Central Illinois | So I have a question......Typically I sell my calves born in April/May in December as feeders weighing around 600 lbs. I have been kicking around selling some of the better heifer calves as replacement stock. I would like to sell them around the same time frame because I don't have enough pasture or a different bull to breed them to sell as breds next year. Beings that I have never done this, is there any premium to put on them to advertise at this age over market value or does no one want to buy them at this age for replacement stock? With the high feeder price I know alot of heifers over the past year have been sold as feeders and I thought there might be a demand out there for replacement stock. I have included some pics of them, the bull they are out of, and some cows.
