Western Iowa | Had this happen to me when a stock truck tipped over and cattle went everywhere. I took lots of pictures and sent them to the adjuster. Whenever he asked for a damage amount I itemised and included acres average yield and the cost of a corn reel in case I had down corn from the cattle. They balked at first then I said ok let's wait until after harvest and they can pay the difference from an average year......the check came 3 days later. Thkey'll do anything to settle asap.
