I personally think your answer is buried within your setup when you suggest he ACCELERATES natures work. That could be, I assume that could happen. But, he's only accelerating to the point of 1 year's decomposition of trash to enable a following year's growth. The best it can ever be is a 1 for 1, if he could achieve that. So, there will be no progress. Probably would've (& did I assure you) in the US a couple of generations ago. But, would we be satisfied today with 30-50 bu/A corn &  similar other crop yields? Also, the nutrients that are removed by the grain or fodder removed have to be replaced by something if you're not just plowing-down the entire crop. Or, wait for nature to balance it out again in 10,000 yrs.

Though I have mistakenly tried in the past, I no longer subscribe to the "free lunch" theory...not in any part of existance.
