Paul, I've never heard it referred to as 'yellow' , but they're probaly talking about trifluralin which goes by different trade names such as Treflan. When mixed, it's a very, very yellow colored grass herbicide (also limited broadleaf) that needs to be applied pre-plant / incorporated.
