Hastings, Florida

My wife is a New York Yankee, [ long story ] , and for years could not understand why I would start a conversation with everyone I came in contact with. I explained to her if you talk to someone, you will always find something [ or someone ] in common. Then she started noticing how interesting people can be. She understands now. I usually start with "What kind of work do you do ?", or "Where are you from originally?". Folks always like to talk about their jobs, or the old home town. Amazing the things and friends you learn you have in common with a total stranger.
