Near-north Ontario, French River | Rosco has the answer, cut the quills in half, and they pull out much easier. Guy in our deer camp had a spaniel that tangled with a porcie. Came back to camp with probably 25-30quills in his mouth, tongue, cheeks. Dog seemed to understand that his owner was trying to help and stayed relatively still while they removed. That was one stupid dog LOL.. The previous day he was heard howling and barking in the bush, one of the gang went to investigate and found the dog face to face with a black bear in its den. Lucky the bear was semi'hibernatiing. She was awake, looking at the dog barking only inches from her muzzle. |
