Galahad, Alberta | Take wire cutters and cut the quills in half, seems to let the air out of them so that they pull out of flesh easier. Make sure not to cut them too short so that you can't get pliers onto them. I've pulled 15 out of a dog's nose before, not a big deal. Helps to have someone to sit on the dog, and wear gloves. Like others said, make sure to get them all, as they will work their way up a dogs nose to more vital parts.
