I would like to see a breakdown on how you're calculating the fertlizer value. Last time I did the math a cople of years ago straw price was WAY WAY above what fertilizer value was....not even counting any extra N that may or may not be required. There seems to be a high premium on either OM, soil compaction or just supply and demand.

In SWON, we paid (and are still paying as of yesterday) $.05 for last years bales.....so there's ~50 weeks of carry in that $.05. They are clean, dry and weed free. Just agreed to pay 850 acres in the windrow for $.0275 east of Toronto. That is the most expensive we've ever paid but it's a big block of wheat so there is some value to the efficiency. We moved ~2500 tons last year.
