SW Ontario | With wheat harvest still 3 to 4 weeks away we are trying to decide whether we should sell some straw. We figure 3 cents per lb in the windrow is our break-even (includes nutrient value, organic matter and all the hassle associated with selling straw). So if we can't get 4 or 5 cents we won't bother. Anybody hear any numbers out there ? Last year it was around 4 cents and heard that it may be more this year. But that's just talk. Any feedback would be appreciated. | |
