| Thaqt is exactly my thoughts. The grain company should earn its margins as planned on the purchase and resale. They should not suffer loss of potential profits on the transaction. However, they should not be punitive in the transaction. They shouldn't try to skin the guy just because they can.
On the other hand, I don't have much use for guys tht reneg on a contract. I know that circumstances change and sometime people are unable to fill contracts as written. However, they can usually find remedies for such circumstances. Those that willfully attempt to reneg on a contract are scum. If your word is no good, then you haven't got much going for you. Especially in the world of commerce. | |
