| I've worked for a grain company for 33 years. The basic concept behind a contract is for delivery of a specific amount of bushels of wheat - barley etc. If one does not honor that idea then the grain business will fold. Deliver your contracted grain. If you come up short for ANY reason, expect to buy it in...at either a loss or gain to yourself. Our Company has always bought in grain directly for the farmer. Our purchases are either farmer or exporter generated on shortages. We do NOT charge anything above what it actually costs us to cover. I'd hate to add insult to injury.
