Prairie of Southern MN | KDD - I ought to get out a tape measure and double check. The 97' was from the former owner of the place, who had the silo built for his dairy at that time. He says he told the Harvestore man he wanted the tallest silo he could get without having to put a light on top for FAA regulations. Apparently those rules kick in at 100'. Neighbor has a leg that tops out around 104', and they have a beacon on top. That's how they arrived at the 97'. | |
