I would do all stripping in the spring. I do have some rolling terrain and fall stripping would/could be a disaster from an erosion standpoint. Also all fertilizer applications have to be economical. I still like NH3 as an economical N source. I have considered fall application of NH3 followed by spring stripping directly over the knife tracks with the balance of N in UAN and possibly P&K. Lots of ways to handle it. Have also considered pre-plant UAN in the strip followed by sidedressing. I prefer to not sidedress but is an option.
