Subject: RE: Striptill vs. Conventional COC carbon cycling

Central Iowa
One of my main reasons for interest in the system is soil conservation. Although I do believe there are many other benefits to going with a striptill system. I am only 28 but I've seen enough to realize that the conventional tillage systems practiced in many areas are driving our soils in an unsustainable direction. More residue cover means better soil stewardship. No-till in a COC situation in my opinion is not economically viable and even in a COB situation can be difficult at times.
