| Jholland, know what you are talking about, here in N Central Ala it is bone ass dry. We missed the last rains that came through back with the tornadoes and going on 4 weeks with nothing. The plus for me if their is one is I did not plant any corn, I have not seen any for we have been in the wheat fields but a guy told me that south of me corn will be toast this time next week if not irrigated and I have some pivots but with this heat I am not sure you can get the ground wet unless your pivot is running off one pump which mine are not. Planted mostly all to cotton this year the older cotton looks fairly well, younger cotton needs water bad to get some growth but will say if it is going to be dry better now than July and a aug. As for wheat mine is going to be consistantly 70 bu plus or minus I have heard some say thier | |
