If the tractor is running at the correct location and this is a planter drift issue then you need consistent drift to be able to trim, or offset the implement drift. It doesn't sound like you are having consistent drift in both directions. If it was consistently running 2 inches to the left, then you would have a guest row of 34 inches on one side, and 26 on the other(30 inch rows) If you are 36 to one side, and 28 on the other then you have drift that isn't consistent in both directions.(slope of a hill?) I don't how to correct that without using something like TrueGuide or TrueTracker. But what is really confusing to me is that 36+28=64" it should equal 60". Stick a flag in the exact center of the tractor(using drawbar) then reverse direction on the NEXT pass, stick another flag and measure the distance. If it isnt' 80' then you have a swath width problem. If it does then we need to figure out what is going on with the planter.
