| Anyone else having problems with tetanus this spring??
We banded some bull calves three weeks ago, vaccinated for tetanus when we had them in the chute. Now, we've had a second calf lock up on us. Lost the first one, this one went from looking well this morning to flat on it's side by 2pm today.
Talking to the vet after we treated him, he mentioned that he has heard that the tetanus vaccinations are not holding this year. He talked about problems with it in Nebraska, but wasn't very specific.
Never had a calf with tetanus before this year, now two out of 8 are have come down with severe cases.
What's happening in your neighborhood?? Any problems you guys are hearing??
