Finland, up there in north where noboby farms!
Heh....how would I say it. Me and my friend, we farm about 600 ac, on our farms. We share no-till drill and tractor to pull it. Then he has tractor for frontloador usage just like I do and I have one tractor for spraying too. Also two combines. We avrage around 100 hours / year / diesel engine and avrage hours on our machines are around 1000 hours. Avrage age probably around 6-7 years ( made litte bit more hours when tilling +5 years ago ).

So...they are old by years, but they will never come old by hours! Avrage farm in Finland is probably +30 ac so you could call us fairly decend size operation. Even so, when would we need to update our equipment? After +50 years?

Every second year it is time for investments = engine oil and filters. Every five years transmission oils and filters. That is the way it is down here...
