I have the check valves at the pump to limit second time pumping and then each pump has it's own vertical run to the ceiling and then they "Y" together and 1 pipe goes outside. I think it is 1.5" PVC. I started both at the same time and it seemed to work OK.
Basement Sump Pumps ?
