Should a guy worry about the amount of times a sump pump cycles on and off, in a basement tile footing sump?
With all the wet weather we have, the sump pump is now cycleing on and off every 2 minutes. I'm guessing it pumps about 2gals of water each time.
Turning on and off 30 times an hour - how long will a pump motor last? (it is a new pump unit, I replaced last summer, cought it just in time, before it flooded out of the sump well).
I'm on sump duty tonight - I'd hate for the thing to go down and flood the basement (it is finished off).
