Subject: RE: also

Iowa

The scenario would be very unusual in my neighborhood, but I never said I was against the concept.  Someone with cattle said something to the effect that if the neighbor did not pay for the fence, cattle should never be allowed on the neighbor's property.  I said the neighbor should be allowed to have cattle if he first agrees to make compensation for the fence.  The Missouri law seems to have that covered.  At least in this whole scenario, the person building or maintaining the fence has a use for it regardless of what the neighbor does.  The current scenario in Iowa is even more inequitable where people are forced to build a fence they otherwise have no use for and get no compensation for it when the neighbor uses it.  The Missouri law would have that covered as well.

Have we beat this thing to death yet? :)
