Mississippi Delta | I don't know the people on that Levee Board. Above Bolivar County is another board (the one with all the $$$$). Any way you look at it, it's concerning. The thought of water backing up from the South Delta is a little less frightening to me, I suppose. Would feel more comfortable if I still lived in Cleveland. From what I've been told, in '27 the water got to Morrison Chapel Baptist Church, which ain't far from Cleveland, but it's better than sitting here in my office in Greenville looking at the levee! The rice levee comparison is a little too analagous. | |
