E.Central MN | I always understood the Midwest droughts were started in the Southeast. While it seems easier to think that a drought in the Southwest would limit the moisture coming to the Midwest I don't think it would stop the various storm patterns that follow the jet stream. Some of the storms come out of the Northwest, some come across by Denver, etc. I do know hot, dry air can block storms as it happened this spring. | |
