Had a rottweiler that we rescued develop seizures at about 4-5yrs old. Turned out to be epilepsy (or the dog equivalent). We tried every medication available, but the seizures kept getting worse and more frequent. Ended up having to put her down...damn good dog...one of the worst days of my life.
