Yes you have to fill and empty them seperatly. Filling though wont be any problems, just gotta open the valve to fill 300 gallons then close it. Then there are a seperate set of lines with a 3 way valve so all i have to do is hit a switch in the cab. I won't have to get out to manually change what tanks I am pulling from
