I use Anderson Powerpole connectors. http://www.andersonpower.com/products/singlepole-connectors.html

Every tractor, car, pickup, or truck I have, I have installed a set to the battery. Then every portable piece of equipment that needs power I have added a powerpoles. These connectors are a standard for some emergency groups so all equipment can be connected to a power source even if it comes from several different owners. I think the ones I use are 30 amp
