I agree 100%!! That is exactly what I have done with the smartsteer. I just write down the numbers, do some "tweaking" to see if it helps, and keep doing that till it is the way I like it. I have been able to get it so the smartsteer holds the line within 1-2 inches over 95% of the time in very rough conditions. I ignored what the manual said to not change the pwm min/max numbers and that makes a great system out of it once you find the right balance of min pwm(usually 20% to 30%) and max pwm(usually 90% to 100%) for both the left and right. Also, telling it the antenna is further forward than it actually is helps it to make quicker/smoother corrections which helps keep it within 2 inches most of the time. It is a very good system has more ways to adjust the steering so it holds the line tight but isn't always turning on the wheel to accomplish this. The smartsteer doesn't hardly have to turn the wheel compared to the ez steer to keep it online.
