Subject: RE: Deere vs Trimble AB lines

Cedar Rapids, Iowa
For a field at the latitude of 41.66 degrees (approximately Toledo, OH):

If the field is 1/2 mile E-W and 1/4 mile N-S, the AB lines will diverge by 0.89 inches.
If the field is 1/4 mile E-W and 1/2 mile N-S, the AB lines will diverge by 3.56 inches.
If the field is 1 mile square, the AB lines will diverge by 14.2 inches.

These are numbers according to the theory, assuming your AB lines are N-S. I can't wrap my head around what this looks like if you go E-W or any other angle. If I was you, I'd try it in the field once to see what happens, prior to planting.
