roaming | yes, I believe that cable will work if you DON'T have a NavII involved, BUT I don't think you can get GPS out of the FmX itself if you're using it with a NavII. I found this post from a reliable source: http://talk.newagtalk.com/forums/thread-view.asp?tid=81920&mid=5882... granted, it's a couple of years old, but I haven't found anything that indicates things have changed.
