Lac qui Parle County Minnesota | If you're just starting out, and want to be proficient, I would start out with the 9mm. Less kick and the ammunition is less expensive. I think its really important to start out with proper handgun technique and skills before worrying about whether or not a round has good knock down power. I would maybe even look into getting a .22 handgun first. When I want to practice technique and handling, I often will go with my Walther p22. You can't get any cheaper ammo to shoot, I can concentrate more on how I handle the weapon, and it's just a fun handgun to shoot. After putting a bunch of rounds through a handgun like that, it might be easier for you to make a decision on what to buy. But whatever your choice, I think that once you start shooting, you will want to have more than one handgun and more than one caliber. |
