South Africa | Yup, currently all African countries in Africa except South Africa relies on aid from Western countries and China, China seems to be taking over most of Africa...
Here we still produce about twice as much as we use, but government has put a target of transfering at least 1/3 of the land that is still white owned (which is about 40% of farmable land) to black ownership by 2015, you can also not get any permits for water use (including irrigation) if you do not GIVE 30% shares to blacks as well as lots of other things. A special tax is levied on white farms and there is no goverment assistance or import protection.
So far the failure rate of commercial farms transferred to "Black Empowerment" in the last 15 years is 100%!
This is with a 100% grant on land equipment and 3 year input cost! Non repayable!
Unlike other African countries we used to be a first world country untill change of government 15 years ago. We hat Agricultural research facilities and colleges to rival the best in the USA, but now nothing is left, we are third world and no whites may be appointed in public- or private sector...
So you will see a lot of our young farm boys in the US working on 6 month permets at a time...
