North Central Kansas | We took the deer over to the taxidermist that lives a few miles NW of us. We are going to get it made into a European mount. That is what lane wanted. I think it will look pretty good that way. There were alot of good looking racks that had been brought in. When we were looking the deer over we noticed that he had what appeared to be a bullet hole in his ear. Not a fresh wound but maybe a couple of weeks old. Small caliber hole. We wondered if someone tried to spotlight this deer and missed. I got a good idea on who that might be. Wish I could catch them.
Lane is in 6th grade this year. This is his second year of hunting but last year we didn't get any deer because we were cutting milo during deer season and then it snowed. | |
